Smiling Dog Rescue is a 100% volunteer-driven non-profit organization. Our work is directly dependent upon the great generosity of a system of foster homes as well as veterinary clinics, shelter workers, other rescues and volunteers who all work together with SDR to create a network that enables as many adoptable dogs on death row to be saved as possible.
We are their voice!
Our greatest need is usually for people to step up to foster an animal in need, and often are in need of financial support.
We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity, which means that donations are completely tax-deductible.

Donations can also be called in, mailed or brought in directly to our vet, the Pet Doctor at the Northeast corner of Oracle and Orange Grove, but make sure to specify that it’s for us.

Sponsoring a pet is a great way to help an animal out without physically being able to foster it. This is where you can donate money towards the medical bills, buy him dog food, collars, leash, toys, treats, and any kind of training that may be needed. You can pick whichever dog you’d like to sponsor and help out financially with a donation, or by promoting it online and with your friends and family.
The more attention an animal gets, the more likely they are to find it a home!
We would love for you to set up a play-date with the animal you’d like to sponsor, and to keep in touch with his foster parent. We will put together a letter with pictures and information about your animal, so that you can keep up-to-date on his status. We encourage you to donate directly to the veterinarian clinic in the name of the animal. They can be reached at (520) 829-5166.
You can also buy supplies or toys for him and bring them directly to his foster parent.
